The Depth and Love of God

Table of Contents

Good day readers,

I hope everyone is having a truly blessed year.

I’m excited to share another blog post inspired by the Word of God.

As we prepare to close out 2025 and step into 2026, many of us can look back and see just how faithful God has been.

If you’re reading this right now—if you’re still breathing—it’s only by the grace and love of God that you’re here.

Some started this year with us, but didn’t make it to the end.

That alone should fill our hearts with awe and thanksgiving because the almighty has allowed us to see the remainder of this year.

That’s why the topic of this message is “The Depth and Love of God.”

God’s love is so vast, so profound, that it could take more than a lifetime to fully grasp it.

He loves the righteous with an everlasting love, and He loves the sinner with the very same intensity—enough to pursue us while we were still far from Him.

Romans 5:8 reminds us:

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

He loved us first.

Long before we ever turned to Him,

long before we could love Him back,

His heart was already set on us.

That kind of love doesn’t make sense to the world—it’s too deep, too wide, too unconditional.

But that’s our God.

He doesn’t wait for us to get it right.

He loves us right where we are, and loves us too much to leave us there.

As we step into 2026, carry this truth in your heart:

You are deeply, fiercely, eternally loved by the Creator of the universe.

Nothing you’ve done can make Him love you less.

Nothing you could do can make Him love you more.

He simply loves you—completely, perfectly, forever.

Thank Him today for another year of life.

Thank Him for His love that never fails.

And walk into the new year knowing you are held by a love deeper than you’ll ever fully understand—this side of heaven.

God's deep Love

God loves us so deeply that He willingly left the highest throne in heaven to come down and die for our sins—our mistakes, our disobedience, our rebellion, our acts of treason against His kingdom, our evil deeds.

He faced fierce opposition.

He was cursed, ridiculed, mocked, and spat upon.

People plotted to trap Him in His words and tried multiple times to kill Him long before the cross.

Yet He never retaliated.

He humbled Himself completely before humanity.

Can you imagine it?

The God of the universe—the King of kings—choosing to become a servant to the very creatures who rejected Him?

I don’t know a single earthly king who would lay aside their crown, their power, and their glory to suffer and die for their rebellious subjects.

But Jesus did.

Philippians 2:7–8 tells us He “made himself nothing… he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross.”

If that isn’t the ultimate act of love, then I don’t know what love is.

He didn’t come to condemn us.

He came to rescue us.

He didn’t come to be served.

He came to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45).

My friends, this is love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us first and sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:10).

Let that sink in today.

You are loved with a love that no human can match.

A love that humbled the Almighty.

A love that conquered the grave.

A love that is still pursuing your heart right now.

Rest in it.

Receive it.

Live from it.

Nothing you’ve done can make Him love you less, and nothing you could do can make Him love you more.

He already proved it on the cross.

Love is Love

The love of God is so profound, so beyond human comprehension, that King David cried out in Psalm 8:4–6 (NIV):

“What is mankind that you are mindful of them,

human beings that you care for them?

You have made them a little lower than the angels

and crowned them with glory and honor.

You made them rulers over the works of your hands;

you put everything under their feet.”

Stop and think about that for a moment.

The Creator of the galaxies, the One who spoke stars into existence, looks at you and me—dust-formed, flawed, finite—and chooses to be mindful of us.

He crowns us with glory.

He places dominion in our hands.

He cares—deeply, personally, passionately.

No earthly love compares.

Not the love of a father or mother,

not the love of a spouse,

not the love of the closest friend or family member.

Those loves are beautiful gifts from God, but they are only faint echoes of His perfect, boundless love.

God’s love is greater, deeper, higher, wider than anything we have ever witnessed or imagined (Ephesians 3:18–19).

And here’s the beautiful truth:

The more you begin to grasp how deeply God loves you,

the more your heart naturally overflows with love for Him in return.

You don’t have to force it.

You don’t have to manufacture it.

Just sit in His presence.

Let His Word wash over you.

Let the reality of His love sink in.

And watch your love for Him grow—deeper, stronger, more unshakable every day.

You are not forgotten.

You are crowned with glory by a God who adores you beyond words.

Rest in that love today

In Conclusion

As we close out 2025 and prepare to step into 2026, I invite you to pause and examine your relationship with God.

It’s never too late to draw closer to Him.

If you feel your walk with the Lord isn’t where it should be, today is the perfect day to begin rebuilding that sacred connection.

Remember: only one perfect Man has ever walked this earth—Jesus Christ.

We are all saved by grace alone.

Every one of us has sinned—spoken words we regret, thought thoughts we shouldn’t have, and done things that grieve God’s heart.

Yet because of His boundless love, mercy, and grace, we did not receive the punishment we deserved.

Instead, He gave us forgiveness, restoration, and a fresh start through the blood of Jesus.

May the Lord bless you richly.

May He keep you and watch over you through the rest of this year and throughout 2026.

May your heart grow ever closer to Him, and may you come to know and experience the depth of God’s love in ways you’ve never imagined.

Walk forward in His grace.

Pursue Him with all your heart.

He is waiting with open arms, ready to meet you right where you are.

Blessings and love to you all as we step into a new year with our faithful God.
