I hope all is well; welcome to Chuwlblog to new and returning readers. Today we will do a breakdown of one of the most powerful prayer template in the bible. This is how Jesus told us to pray to our father who is in Heaven. Today I’m going to breakdown this prayer line by line to help you fully understand it, as there are many people in this world who do not know how powerful this prayer is.
When the disciples were asking Jesus, how should we pray to the father. Jesus then went on to tell them how to pray, and the prayer goes like this.
The Prayer
“ In Matthew 6:9-13 NIV Jesus said this, then, is how you should pray;
“Our Father in Heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one”
For yours is the kingdom and the power and the Glory forever in Jesus name. Amen.
The Breakdown
When we start to pray, we have to address our father who is not on earth but is in Heaven. We must give him praise by saying “Hallowed be your name” because God is holy and is unlike any other.
Also, Jesus said to say “Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”. We have to let the Kingdom of God come on earth and allow his will to be done on earth just like it is in Heaven. You see in Heaven there are no diseases, there are no poverty, there are no pain, there are no sadness, there are no famine. We have to let God’s kingdom to come, and his will to be done on earth just like it is in Heaven.
Jesus then told us to ask God “Give us today our daily bread”, we should not ask God to “Give me today’s daily bread” only, when we pray to God, we have to address God to give us our daily bread, we have to address God to bless the community as well and so on. We have to come to God every day to give us our daily bread. You might need $500.00 dollars one day, and the next day you need $50,000.00 and so one, The Lord knows what we need each day and will supply each of our daily needs.
Also Jesus says “And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors” you see in Heaven there is no debt. Gold, diamond, precious stones, jewels, that people are fighting for in this world, there is an abundance of them in Heaven. God walks on those precious stones that people give so much value in this world, therefore God has the ability to pay off all our debts in this world.
Also Jesus said “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one”. We have to pray for God to protect us by submitting to God’s authority and help us to by giving us the spirit of discernment, and to protect us from the evil one, and ask God to protect us from testing boundaries that are outside of God’s law and will for our lives. We have to pray for God to not let the evil one tempt us. We have to pray for God to keep us from the path of the influence of the adversary. The evil one is the one who wants to distract us from Gods purpose and will for our lives. Submission to God’s authority will give us victory over the adversary. God will protect us from the evil one each, and every day.
“For yours is the Kingdom” we are not to have our own government, authority, values, morals, culture, world, lifestyle” The Kingdom is God’s. “The Power, and Glory” meaning God has the power to make a prayer request into reality. Always remember that the Glory belongs to God, the Glory does not belong to us.
“Amen” be careful how you say Amen also, don’t say Amen to anything, because Amen mean “let it be”. Amen, mean I agree with God. we should be saying Amen to God’s will for our lives. Amen means we agree and submit to Gods desire to fulfill his will for our lives.
Conclusion
God is Satan’s boss according
to the bible, and we are children of God, therefore If our father God is the boss
of the unemployed chariot Satan, therefore Satan as no right to be harassing us
children of God. Satan has no legal right over us because we are a child of God
who is Satan’s boss. No angels were created in the likeness and image of God,
were created in the likeness and image of God. Always remember you can overcome
